Graduate Research Intern, Part Time Kotter is a leading strategy execution firm that empowers organizations to translate strategic vision into tangible results. Kotter is a research-led organization and has an active program to identify the most effective organizational development strategies. Our research informs our work with clients across diverse industries to drive transformative change, optimize performance, and achieve sustainable growth. We are seeking an organized, curious, and dynamic Graduate Research Intern to work closely with Dr. Kotter and our R+D team to advance our latest thinking and research program. This role is Remote - candidate MUST reside in WA, TX, TN, IL, MA, NY, or Washington DC. The Graduate Research Intern will be a key member of our R+D team, responsible for various aspects of research, including data collection, analysis, literature reviews, and dissemination of findings. This role requires an individual who has experience conducting studies and is looking to apply those skills to assist in real world research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Studies, Psychology, or similar field required.
  • Currently enrolled in an advanced degree program (Master’s or PhD) in Business, I/O Psychology, Organizational Development, Management Studies, or a similar field required
  • Experience with data collection and analysis
  • A general understanding of organizations, teams, and business contexts
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of research activities, including studies, publishing, and other R+D team projects
  • Monitor project timelines, track milestones, and report progress
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to identify relevant work in related fields
  • Summarize and synthesize articles and identify the key findings.
  • Assist in gathering data through surveys, interviews, fieldwork, or other appropriate methods for the research project.
  • Analyze the data, identify patterns, and interpret findings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of data, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist in designing studies
  • Work with members of the team to design research studies – questions to ask, survey mechanisms, data requirements, etc.
