The Elevating Life, Expression, Validation, Autistic Thriving, and Empowerment (ELEVATE Autism) Lab is hiring 3 graduate research assistants (GRA) for the 2025-2026 academic year. Research interests in the lab involve addressing the maltreatment and exclusion of autistic people in the workplace and how race, ethnicity, gender, and other cultural attributes interact with contextual characteristics to influence employment outcomes. Other areas of research include inclusive education and adapting standard suicide prevention interventions and treatment for autistic suicidality. Opportunities for GRAs in this lab include collaborating with faculty on data collection, data management and coding, writing literature reviews, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, writing manuscripts for publication, preparing research presentations, website design, and grant writing. Other tasks may be assigned if interested. There will be opportunities for co-authorship on publications. GRAs will work approximately 5 hours per week across projects and will be required to attend at least biweekly mentorship meetings with faculty overseeing the research project.
