About The Position

The INSPIRE (Interdisciplinary Social and Public Health Intervention Research for Equity) lab is hiring a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to support Dr. Petruzzi’s federally funded grant, ‘Improving Perinatal Mental Health among Latinas through a Culturally Adapted, Multi-Level Intervention.” The GRA will play a key role in data management, analysis, and research coordination, working closely with the Principal Investigator and community partners. The GRA will create slides for community advisory board (CAB) meetings, as well as take notes at CAB meetings and summarize overall themes and takeaways. This position is well-suited for graduate students in public health, psychology, sociology, education, or related fields who are interested in health equity, maternal and mental health, and community-engaged research.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with quantitative data collection and analysis, primarily in Qualtrics.
  • Conduct descriptive quantitative analyses to support grant efforts, present data at conferences and/or publish peer-reviewed articles.
  • Assist with qualitative data collection and/or analysis of focus group data, including coding and memo development.
  • Present data at conferences and/or publish peer-reviewed articles.
  • Participate in bimonthly community advisory board (CAB) meetings, prepare slides and/or take notes.
  • Participate in regular research meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Assist with gathering and submitting Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation (questionnaires, consent forms, flyers, etc.), modifications and updates as needed.
