About The Position

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is seeking a Graduate Recruiter I and II to assist prospective graduate students with information related to graduate and doctoral programs, admissions requirements, online application questions, and registration. The role is responsible for the recruitment of highly qualified graduate students, with a focus on developing and maintaining a dynamic recruitment strategy. This includes planning and attending relevant graduate recruitment events, managing follow-up with prospective students, and analyzing program enrollment trends. The Graduate Recruiter II will provide advanced professional knowledge and advice, assist with leading initiatives linked to communications and marketing, and ensure that programs are effectively shared with appropriate audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to assess and interpret enrollment trends.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Experience counseling, recruiting, and cultivating relationships with prospective and current students.
  • Results-oriented with excellent writing and listening skills.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • One year of experience working with students in admissions and/or recruiting for Graduate Recruiter I.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for Graduate Recruiter I.
  • Two years of experience working with students in admissions and/or recruitment in a higher education setting for Graduate Recruiter II.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and experience with Banner for Graduate Recruiter II.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred experience working with non-traditional student populations and graduate students.
  • Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities for marketing to and recruiting prospective university students with a background in graduate decision-making process.
  • Experience working with Banner, CRM, and online application software for Graduate Recruiter I.
  • Three years of experience working in graduate admissions and/or recruitment for Graduate Recruiter II.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a dynamic recruitment strategy to assist in the continued growth of the Graduate School.
  • Plan and attend relevant graduate recruitment events such as graduate fairs, information sessions, and online webinars.
  • Manage follow-up with prospective students to provide direct support.
  • Enter, track, and analyze program enrollment trends within team software systems.
  • Build and cultivate relationships utilizing various communication methods to ensure proper advertisement of all graduate programs.
  • Develop key contacts with other graduate fair coordinators to arrange visits to off-campus recruitment events.
  • Partner with student engagement staff, academic colleges, and departments to coordinate events specific to graduate programs.
  • Plan and organize events such as the annual Graduate Fair and other on-campus information sessions.
  • Work on special projects as assigned by the Director, Associate Director, or Dean.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $41,817 - $47,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
  • Up to 40 hours per week, exempt.
