About The Position

The Graduate Program Office Assistant at Loyola University Chicago plays a crucial role in supporting the graduate programs in Computer Science. Requirements

  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with individuals at various levels throughout the university.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the graduate programs in Computer Science.
  • Assists the Graduate Program Directors with monitoring the progress of M.S. and Ph.D. graduate students towards graduation.
  • Assists the Graduate Program Directors with the recruitment of new applicants to the graduate programs.
  • Responds to student queries and assists with outreach to alumni.
  • Monitors the Graduate Admissions portal for new applicants and assists with outreach to incomplete applications.
  • Coordinates new international applications with the ISSS office.
  • Processes stipends and tuition reimbursement for support of new and continuing graduate students.
  • Monitors the Graduate Activity Fee budget account in consultation with the Chairperson/Program Director.
  • Assists with assignments of teaching assistants and registration of graduate students.
  • Coordinates departmental events such as new student orientation and end-of-semester celebration.
  • Maintains and updates the graduate website and graduate handbook.
  • Assists the Administrative Assistant as needed.
  • Supports the Loyola Center for Cybersecurity in administrative duties and activities.
