Colorado School of Mines welcomes applications for the Graduate Program Manager position supporting The Department of Computer Science and The Department of Electrical Engineering. The position plays a key role in supporting the academic progression of Mines students by providing academic advising and support services that foster individual development and educational goals. This position guides students toward the timely and successful completion of their degree requirements while upholding national standards for academic advising and the mission of the Colorado School of Mines. Additionally, the Graduate Program Manager oversees academic support services, recruitment and retention efforts, and supplemental instruction in collaboration with faculty and administration. A core responsibility of this role is managing graduate student funding and coordinating financial processes for both students and their faculty advisors. While the primary focus is on graduate students, this position also provides limited support to undergraduate students in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The Graduate Program Manager assists students, faculty, department heads, and administrative staff in educating, training, and preparing students for successful careers. This includes direct support for graduate students funded through Research and Teaching Assistantships (RAs and TAs), as well as faculty members who advise or oversee these students. This full-time, 12-month, administrative faculty professional exempt position requires a high degree of independence, ensuring smooth communication and efficient processes between the Graduate Program Manager's office and the supported departments.
