Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field within 6 months of graduation or graduating this upcoming spring
  • ERP Systems: Basic proficiency in SAP or similar systems
  • Finance Knowledge: Foundational understanding of finance and supply chain concepts
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data for decision-making
  • Microsoft Suite: Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Learning Mindset: Strong interest in professional growth and skill development
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills
  • US citizen or green card holder: This position requires access to documentation that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency, or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8USC 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Purchasing: Conduct commodity sourcing, demand management, and market analysis
  • Supplier Management: Oversee supplier evaluation, performance strategies, and supplier phase-in/out processes
  • Tactical Purchasing: Handle RFI/RFQ generation, negotiation, contracting, and contract management
  • Operational Purchasing: Process purchase requisitions/orders, manage delivery coordination, and handle claims management
  • Performance Metrics: Establish benchmarks and regularly measure performance against goals
  • Process Optimization: Promote process harmonization and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Integrate operations with internal teams and external suppliers
