AECOM is seeking a Graduate Process Professional to be based in Denver, Colorado This position is expected to begin in February 2026. A Graduate Process Professional will be working as an integral part of the team to learn and develop skills. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Create and review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for pumping and piping systems. Perform equipment sizing calculations and specify equipment and instrumentation for new and existing facilities. Perform hydraulic calculations to determine pipe sizes, control valve sizing, and pump sizing for water/acid solutions using industry standard software programs in conformance with codes and standards as well as project requirements. Develop process deliverables like design criteria, hydraulic simulations, PFDs/P&IDs, material balances, control narratives, and technical memorandums. Perform early project design work such as conceptual studies, process flow diagram development, P&IDs, mass balances, preliminary equipment sizing and selection, datasheets, and general facility layout/arrangements. Assemble calculation packages for the sizing of mechanical and process equipment such as pumps, tanks, piping systems, etc. Develop reports in Microsoft Word to communicate the technical results of these calculations, including summaries, figures, tables, methodologies, and explanations of significant calculations. Collaborate with project teams including project managers, contractors, vendors, and a multi-discipline team to create engineered designs from these calculations, studies and analysis into project-specific designs. Participate in multi-discipline safety reviews (HAZOPs/PHAs). Ensure the required services meet project requirements on time and within budget. Work during normal operating hours to collaborate with the project team and complete work within given deadlines. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
