Requirements

• 4 year Bachelors Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering, or similar
• 3 to 5+ years applicable experience
• EIT certification, with commitment to obtaining Texas Professional Engineer license
• Demonstrate knowledge on MEP systems and their installation, with an emphasis on Plumbing installations
• Working knowledge of plumbing and/or mechanical system design, International Plumbing Code and Unified Plumbing Code
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP
• Possess an understanding of drawing and modeling organization, detail, and LOD standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Positive attitude and desire to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Develop Plumbing construction documentation under the supervision of assigned engineering, design, and BIM staff utilizing primarily AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
• Create Plumbing construction models in AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP as part of a BIM team
• Create detailed field installation drawings and fabrication drawings
• Work from both customer and firm drawings
• Perform file management functions such as posting models, downloading model updates, managing links, and historic versioning
• CAD and Revit drafting
• Provide technical support for existing projects and field service
• Attend coordination meetings, communicate with other trades, and create/extract reports as required
