The Data, Analysis, and Visualization group in NREL’s Computational Science Center has an immediate opening for a Graduate Student Researcher to pursue a cross-disciplinary research project in data analysis and statistical modeling with an emphasis in the evaluation and visualization of gridded data. The successful candidate will work with a research team to conduct initial data analysis and develop subsequent statistical and deep learning methods to evaluated gridded data and their spatial features. The candidate will validate modeling results with appropriate metrics and will co-author the publication of our results. The candidate will evaluate and communicate results through written research reports and presentation, will participate in group meetings and seminars, and will assist in engineering and writing statistics and deep learning software, statistical and probabilistic data analysis of results, algorithm design, and publication development.
