About The Position

Primary Duties Coordination of Clinical Placements Develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with current and prospective clinical agencies. Facilitate secure, high-quality clinical placements for graduate nursing students. Ensure clinical placement compliance with state regulatory agencies, accreditation standards (ACEN) and program policies. Actively assist with requirements for the accreditation process. Approve all onboarding requirements for students and preceptors, including immunizations, background checks, certifications, and other required documentation. Coordinate clinical student evaluations at the end of clinical learning experience Collaborate with the Graduate Program Administrative Specialist to track nurse practitioner students’ compliance with clinical requirements Track students’ clinical rotations, student improvement / success plans, clinical make-up, and day to day student clinical experiences. Oversee the timely completion and submission of all clinical student evaluations to the corresponding program lead faculty. Coordinate clinical site visits annually for existing sites and biannually for new sites. Facilitate orientation for new clinical instructors and preceptors. Maintain accurate student clinical placement spreadsheet Faculty & Student Support Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, preceptors, and clinical partners to address placement needs and resolve clinical issues. Provide oversight and support for clinical instructors, including orientation and communication of course expectations. Coordinate clinical student evaluations in collaboration with faculty. Address the training needs of adjunct faculty and new faculty. Coordinate communication between adjunct faculty and lead course/ program instructors to complete grading for clinical/ lab course evaluation measures each semester Communicate student clinical calendars to preceptors and clinical faculty in a timely manner. Respond to student and faculty questions in a timely manner Ancillary Duties Attend School of Nursing, University meetings, and participate in assigned committees as applicable. Actively assist with requirements for the accreditation process. Participate in University and SON related student activities and student ceremonies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters degree in Nursing or in a related field
  • Unrestricted RN license in Colorado, or ability to obtain one
  • Two years clinical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Two years administrative experience in healthcare or educational settings
  • Experience with clinical placement coordination
