About The Position

Who We Are: The Fuller unit is a 55-60 bed, Post-Surgical and Trauma Unit with approximately 160 employees. The average patient census is 34-38 with a focus on adult post-surgical (total knee and hip replacement), telemetry, stroke, and general medical. Our Fuller Unit provides an outstanding supportive environment and advanced training for its staff. Elliot Hospital is designated as an Orthopaedic Center of Excellence! About the Job: Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivers care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. Creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Practices in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model; the ANA’s Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; and relevant specialty standards of practice.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• ASN Required with active enrolled in BSN enrollment in a program (signed BSN commitment form needed).
• Graduate Nurse status is designated for those individuals who hold temporary licensure to practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This status is maintained from date of hire until the issuance of a permanent license by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
• Ability to obtain BCLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
• Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice.
• Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new systems or performs upgrades to existing systems.
