Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • GN permitted by the State of Texas.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment.
  • Behavioral/Non-Behavioral Restraint Training.
  • Patient's Rights & Professional Conduct.
  • Pavilion Specific Policy/Standards Review.

Responsibilities

  • Develops implements and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care utilizing the Nursing Process, Clinical Skills and Patient Education.
  • Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Assesses risks to patient safety and implements the appropriate precautions.
  • Complies with appropriate and approved standards.
  • Utilizes appropriate leadership skills in delegating and providing feedback concerning staff performance.
