About The Position

The GME Program Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and regulatory support for the Family Medicine Residency Program and assists in coordinating graduate medical education (GME) learners across the health system. This role serves as a central liaison among residents, faculty, advanced practice providers, students, hospital leadership, affiliated educational institutions, and regulatory bodies. The Coordinator ensures compliance with ACGME requirements, supports resident recruitment and lifecycle management, and facilitates clinical placements for physician assistant (PA) and nurse practitioner (NP) learners across the system. This position plays a key role in maintaining accreditation standards, optimizing learner experiences, and aligning GME initiatives with organizational strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of administrative experience in healthcare, medical education, or academic operations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple learner groups and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current knowledge of ACGME Family Medicine Program Requirements and support ongoing accreditation compliance, including timely updates and reporting within the ACGME Accreditation Data System (ADS).
  • Maintain program documentation for accreditation, Annual Program Evaluation (APE), Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), and Program Evaluation Committee (PEC).
  • Serve as liaison between affiliated educational institutions and clinical departments.
  • Develop and coordinate new clinical rotation opportunities within the hospital system and affiliated community sites to expand learner experiences.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities through ERAS and NRMP, including application review logistics, interview scheduling, and Match participation.
  • Organize and execute interview days (virtual and in-person).
  • Serve as liaison between affiliated educational institutions and clinical departments.
  • Develop and coordinate new clinical rotation opportunities within the hospital system and affiliated community sites to expand learner experiences.
