About The Position

Working within the Technology, US Open, and Enterprise Systems department, the Graduate Intern will contribute to projects that provide significant experiential learning and research opportunities. Through these projects, the intern will become fully immersed in US Open Operations and gain access to professional development, engagement opportunities, and mentoring from USTA staff in preparation for the 2026 US Open.

Requirements

  • Possess strong statistics and data analysis skills
  • Have experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred), scripting languages (Python), and databases/data warehouses (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Amazon Redshift)
  • A strong understanding of business operations is beneficial

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building data pipelines in a professional setting (e.g., internship) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services tools such as S3 and AWS Lambda is encouraged

Responsibilities

  • Transform data and develop dashboards and data visualizations in Tableau to support the needs of a major sports organization
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders to understand business and data requirements; design and iterate on visual concepts and prototypes for review and feedback
  • Assist with database maintenance and data wrangling
  • Collaborate effectively on team-based initiatives while independently managing individual project tasks
