About The Position

Contributes to the design, development, and validation of system software across one or more layers of the software stack including firmware, drivers, operating systems, and/or middleware to enable Intel platforms and technologies. Engages in crossstack software optimization and contributes to reference platform development for specific domains and market segments. As an intern, learns and applies knowledge, builds skills, and explores future career opportunities through handson experience and projects that support Intel business goals in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a semiconductor-related field.
  • Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in college courses to date.
  • 1+ year's experience programming in software skills (e.g. python, C/C++, implemented ML/AI algorithms)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with using TCAD or atomistic simulation
  • Experience with numerical/computational analysis/simulations/modeling of thermal/heat transfer or thermo-mechanical problems reliability and manufacturing process of microprocessors devices.
