The Graduate Intern, Human Resources (HR) will play a key role in organizing and executing ESRT’s Undergraduate Summer Internship Program, while supporting broader Human Resources initiatives and operations. This position offers high visibility and collaboration with ESRT’s dynamic leaders and provides valuable, hands-on experience in program management and HR operations.   • Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process for the Undergraduate Summer Internship Program
  • Maintain intern job descriptions and ensure all job postings are up to date in partnership with HR Coordinators
  • Review intern applicant resumes to identify quality candidates in our Applicant Tracking System (Lever)
  • Coordinate with various schools to procure candidates for summer intern program
  • Conduct screening assessments for summer intern candidates and provide recommendations on candidate eligibility
  • Schedule interviews for HR team and intern managers
  • Provide real-time recommendations and enhancements of current Summer Intern Project Plan and scheduled initiatives
  • Proactively utilize Summer Intern Project Plan to schedule tasks for team in advance to ensure successful program
  • Schedule and coordinate intern project status updates between HR, interns, and the intern managers
  • Schedule and coordinate various engagement events within the undergraduate summer internship program including but not limited to the Welcome Lunch, ESRT property tours, ESRT volunteer opportunities, and the intern outing
  • Design and implement performance review standards for mid-internship reviews and final internship reviews using prior year templates and feedback
  • Prepare company-wide communication, such as memos and calendar invites, to be sent from Human Resources
  • Act as a liaison between summer interns and Human Resources/ ESRT to help solicit and deliver feedback in real-time
  • Craft a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Summer Intern Program using provided materials to present to the HR team post-internship
  • Prepare presentation to highlight intern program wins and provide recommendations on improvements for next year’s program in partnership with Manager, HR Business Partner
  • Synthesize data from post-summer internship exit interviews, exit surveys, and feedback sessions to summarize and analyze the success of the program with suggestions for next year’s program
  • Coordinate post-summer internship project follow up with all summer intern managers to ensure visibility to senior leadership
  • Create post-summer internship metrics on conversions to extended internships, part-time, and full-time positions
  • Prepare and distribute various HR reports for the department
  • Assist in various functions of the employee life cycle including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Assist in the maintenance of personnel files in our HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated initiative with a proactive mindset and willingness to provide thoughtful feedback and process improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications
  • Active student in a graduate educational program in Human Resources (or related field) within the New York metropolitan area
  • Working understanding of Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures
