About The Position

This internship position within the Government Affairs Department at Delta Air Lines focuses on providing administrative and program support for various political engagement initiatives, including DeltaPAC and grassroots efforts. The candidate will assist in preparing presentations and reports, participate in planning department functions, and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately while adhering to company standards. Requirements

  • Must be enrolled as a graduate degree-seeking, current/active student in an accredited graduate program at a college and/or university.
  • Willingness to commit to the duration of the internship, which may last up to 12 months or longer.
  • Detail-oriented with effective communication skills at all levels of personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability in information gathering and data collection.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic familiarity with photo editing or graphic design programs.
  • Demonstrates a priority for privacy when handling personal data.
  • Adaptability to function in a fast-paced work environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to convey a professional image to all levels of employees.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with providing administrative and program support for DeltaPAC, GOTV, grassroots, and other political engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for department functions.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of department functions.
  • Complete assignments in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner while conforming to company standards.
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
