About The Position

The Graduate Internship within Undergraduate Admission is a 12-month, 30-hour/week position that promotes developmental and professional learning while pursuing a graduate degree. Serving as a member of the Undergraduate Admission team, the Graduate Intern will work with the leadership within Undergraduate Admission to support on-campus recruitment for first-year and transfer students considering Regis College. Essential Functions Serve as a member of UG Admission Office, attending weekly staff meetings and providing updates on assigned projects. Serve as counselor of the day and conduct on-campus information sessions. This is often a daily responsibility during fall travel season. This may also include giving tours when student tour guides are not available. Assist with the management and mentorship of the Pride Guide program. Assist with GPA recalculations for applicants to assist the counselors with their reading territories. Assist with recruitment travel on a limited basis when travel conflicts arise. Act as a liaison to various campus offices, especially to support major recruitment events including open houses and yield events. Inclement Weather and Emergency Closure On-Call Team Member of the Inclement Weather and Emergency Closure On-Call Team responsible for providing on-campus support for Library operations and residential students during campus closure. Support Admission weekend and evening programming and serve as point of contact for residential Pride Guide staff. Qualifications Requirements Bachelor’s degree required, as well as admission to one of Regis College's graduate programs. Ability to uphold the University’s commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Interest/Experience in higher education, leadership development, and event management. Occasional evening and weekend work in relation to college fairs and on-campus events is required. Stipend & Benefits $5,000 stipend (paid over 12 months). Free room and full meal plan. Tuition remission for two (2) eligible Regis graduate courses/semester, with a maximum of six graduate courses (18 credits) per academic year. The following campus-based programs are eligible for tuition remission: 60 credits of MA in Counseling (24 credits are not covered by tuition remission. The supervised field experience must be completed after the graduate intern role is complete.) 33 credits of MS in Regulatory and Clinical Research Management 30 credits of MS in Digital Marketing and Communications The following fully online programs qualify for tuition remission on a space-available basis: 33 credits of MS in Health Administration 42 credits of Master of Public Health (6 credits are not covered by tuition remission 30 credits of Master of Social Work. Courses in Graduate Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Speech Language Pathology, and Doctor of Education programs are not eligible for tuition remission. Training and professional development opportunities Flexible schedule NOTE: This is a 12-month position, with the opportunity to continue the position for one additional 12-month term (24-month maximum). Working Conditions/Physical Demands Normal office environment, not subject to extreme variations of temperature, noise, odors, etc. Requires travel to local and national locations. Requires work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends. May require lifting and carrying of recruiting materials.
