About The Position

The Center for Inclusive Excellence (CIE) at Regis College aims to foster a campus culture where all types of diversity are valued, engaged with, and contribute to the holistic development of community members and institutional excellence. Regis is committed to ensuring each individual is known and accepted, aligning with the founding values of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston. Integrating diversity within academic programs, student life, faculty and staff experiences, and community relationships is crucial for Regis' strategic goal of inclusive excellence. As a member of the CIE, the Graduate Intern will gain exposure to CIE initiatives, planning, research, and data analysis at Regis College. This will develop transferable skills in strategic planning, problem-solving, project management, program development, and data analysis related to the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized populations. The position involves working with the Campus Pride Index Taskforce to assess LGBTQ+ experiences and student supports, coordinating/facilitating programs (OUTober, Trans Day of Remembrance, Campus Pride month, PRIDE), assisting with internal document development, and diversity, inclusion, and equity related data. The CIE will align the experience with the intern's interests and skills. The Graduate Intern will also serve as the center liaison for the Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) student organization, meet regularly with the VP for Inclusive Excellence/CDO, attend CIE staff meetings, and participate in other relevant meetings. The intern will develop learning outcomes, receive coaching in higher education administrative work, and engage in campus-wide professional development opportunities.
