About The Position
GHD is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Technician to join our environmental services group in Borger, Texas. This position is crucial for our team as we work towards ensuring a sustainable future for our communities and the world. As part of a global network of skilled professionals, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities that contribute to our mission of leaving the world better than we found it. The role requires creativity and innovation to navigate the ever-changing environmental landscape, and we are looking for individuals who are curious and eager to think outside the box to positively shape our communities. In this position, you will be involved in essential tasks such as soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and the operation and maintenance of remediation systems. You will generate quality field notes and support senior staff scientists on various projects related to air, soil, emergency response, and groundwater compliance. Your responsibilities will also include field data collection and documentation for environmental site assessments, coordinating and managing project field tasks, and supporting remediation and construction activities. You will work closely with onsite personnel and subcontractors, manage simultaneous operations, and implement GHD and client-specific health and safety policies. Additionally, you will perform oversight and coordination of waste disposal activities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
