At GHD we are looking for a new Graduate Engineer to join the Geotechnical team at our Irvine office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level in Civil Engineering.
  • Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze geotechnical field information, enter it in the database and verify the viability.
  • Obtain geotechnical information, such as mapping and field testing.
  • Assist in the interpretation of the information collected.
  • Coordinate field requirements with short-term plans, mine development and environmental protection.
  • Support the development of geotechnical designs.
  • Conduct field inspections and identify abnormalities.
  • Prepare geotechnical reports.
  • Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats.
  • Contribute to well proposals by analyzing and interpreting geological/geophysical field data.
  • Assist in evaluating field and lab data and perform geotechnical analyses.
  • Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions.
  • Collect and create content, best practices, and case studies to capture and share knowledge.
  • Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
  • Develop geotechnical recommendations based on the results of geotechnical analyses.
  • Assist in preparing geotechnical investigation/evaluation reports.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities.
  • Support technical troubleshooting efforts.
  • Carry out a range of research activities.
  • Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
  • Provide the design of exploration programs, including risk assessment and budgeting.
  • Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience and location.
