About The Position

A Building Enclosure Associate is responsible for providing and overseeing Building Envelope Commissioning/Consulting Services to a wide variety of clients on a variety of project types from University Campus, Medical and Research facilities, Battery and Manufacturing plants and commercial projects. Responsibilities include consulting, testing, and commissioning a variety of building enclosure systems.

Requirements

General understanding of the fundamentals and detailing of various façade types.
Genuine interest in following a project through from design through post occupancy.
Strong interest in being in the field, witnessing envelope systems being installed and tested.
Strong wiring skills, experience in past site report writing is a plus.
Able to adapt quickly and work well with others, especially under tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Comfort with conveying ideas quickly through note writing and sketching.
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Engineering
Willingness and ability to travel at a regular frequency.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee Design Reviews
Oversee submittal and shop drawing reviews
Oversee periodic site inspections
Testing of exterior envelope systems, both in the field and in laboratory settings.
Review site reports and maintain logs of ongoing project issues.
Provide client support as it relates to the envelope systems.
Responsible for project scheduling and budgets.
Development of project management standards and procedures.
Attend conferences and industry events.
Maintain existing client relationships and assist in new client/project relations.
Any special projects as required
