The Transition Programs & Initiatives (TPI) Graduate Assistant supports professional staff in the planning, implementation, and assessment of student programs and services. The Graduate Assistant works closely on key programmatic areas, including A-Week, Welcome Weeks, First-Generation Initiatives, Class Programs, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and other student transition initiatives and collaborations. Graduate Assistants in TPI are expected to be student-centered, intrinsically motivated, task-oriented, and relationship-driven. They must be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong computer skills and the ability to effectively navigate various social media platforms are essential. TPI Graduate Assistants work alongside professional staff and assist with both small- and large group facilitation. They should demonstrate excellent customer service skills and be able to engage effectively with a wide range of constituents. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function, as is the ability to foster and maintain collegial and harmonious working relationships.
