About The Position

The graduate assistant will provide administrative support to the PhD Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) program within the School of Counseling at Colorado Christian University. Successful candidates will hold an accredited undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • Familiarity with using Outlook and Microsoft Office programs as well as a willingness to learn CCU's technology platforms.
  • Willingness to support the academic and Christian mission of the School of Counseling program.
  • Ability to create and maintain organized workflows and procedures.
  • Work respectfully with people from various backgrounds and dispositions.

  • Ability to manage academic documents, filing systems, and technology platforms.
  • Comfort presenting information in meetings and communicating professionally with faculty, applicants, and doctoral students.

Nice To Haves

  • Students enrolled in the master’s level school of counseling is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to CCU’s mission: Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth. In this role, the School of Counseling Graduate Assistant contributes to the mission by being a supporting member of a Christ-centered academic team that is committed to extending grace and truth to CCU students as they are transformed through their educational pursuits.
  • Coordinate routine correspondence and communications, including preparation of reports and related documents.
  • Support CES program operations by tracking admissions, monitoring student progress, and managing dissertation-related documentation.
  • Participate in staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Support program faculty with committee meetings by preparing agendas, slides, summaries, and other materials.
  • Maintain organized digital filing systems for doctoral program documents.
  • Assist students and faculty in the use of program-related technology tools.
  • Perform specialized duties and additional projects as assigned.

Benefits

  • Compensation is $15.16 per hour and includes a tuition waiver for completion of a master's degree through Colorado Christian University's College of Adult and Graduate Studies. The recipient is responsible for student fees each semester.
