About The Position

Provide tutoring to PT 531 Gen Med under the Supervision of Dr. Patricia Brown.

Requirements

• Fully knowledgeable about the job; be able to handle responsibilities independently and effectively.
• Possess undergraduate degree in similar and/or related field.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and provide tutoring sessions; tutors may work around their own schedules but must notify tutees of their availability well in advance
• Tutors are expected to assist tutees with study strategies and approaches to learning and test taking, not just reiterate course content.
• Tutors should work toward facilitating tutees’ understanding of key concepts, relationships, and clinical application, if appropriate
• Tutors are encouraged to work with tutees’ learning styles and to assist with critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical reasoning, to the degree possible
• Tutees must abide by the applicable university student employment policies.
