About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting the management of the Sports Communication program of the University. This ten-month position (August-May) provides a competitive compensation package that includes a tuition waiver for 18 graduate degree hours and a monthly stipend. The Graduate Assistant reports to the Associate Director of Athletics, Sports Communication. This position begins Fall 2025.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree is required.
  • Acceptance into a post-bachelor's academic program at the University.
  • Full-time course registration into the same program of study is also required.
  • Must have working knowledge and skill set of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

Responsibilities

  • Create game programs and promotional items for the University's Athletics Program.
  • Coordinate and deploy social media and webpage as effective marketing strategies for the Athletics Program.
  • Assist in all aspects of the Sports Communication department, including writing press releases, feature stories, photos, videos (shooting, editing, and production).
  • Assist with responsibilities related to game day, including maintaining statistics.
  • Webcast and livestream University sporting events.
