About The Position

Smiley Memorial Library at Central Methodist University seeks applicants for a Graduate Assistant for the 2026 Spring semester. This is a 20 hours/week, 10-month position renewable for up to two years pending an annual reviewing process. The position includes a full tuition waiver and a stipend. Position begins January 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to work 3-4 nights a week and/or weekends.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be accepted into the CMU Graduate program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the library's work study staff.
• Assist the instructional librarian to promote digital and informational literacy as well as general student engagement (social media communications, programming, etc.)
• Perform other duties as assigned.
