The Assistant Referral Clerk coordinates patients' referrals to a wide variety of specialists, follows up for documentation and consult notes, and maintains accurate records of referral statuses in the electronic medical record (EMR). This position also follows up on radiology orders, assists the front desk, and supports the Medical Records Administrator. In completion of their duties, the Referral Clerk serves as an ambassador from the Health Center to the wider medical community of Central Texas.
