About The Position

This Graduate Assistant position in Recreational Services involves overseeing intramural activities, club sports, and the fitness center. Key responsibilities include supervising activities, recruiting and training student officials and statisticians, developing and implementing promotional efforts, maintaining web content, assisting in scheduling leagues and tournaments, and managing daily office operations. The role also includes building supervision and equipment maintenance within the fitness center.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Educational background that will satisfy the graduate academic entrance requirement of Seton Hall University

Nice To Haves

• Experience in officiating flag football, basketball, soccer, volleyball and floor hockey
• Knowledge of fitness center operations
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• NIRSA membership

Responsibilities

• Supervision of all intramural activities
• Recruiting, hiring, and training of student officials and statisticians
• Develop and implement promotional efforts for intramurals
• Maintain intramural web site including daily blog
• Assist in league and tournament scheduling for intramurals
• Assist in daily office operations for intramurals
• Supervision of all club sport activities
• Scheduling practice times and venues for club sports
• Develop and implement promotional efforts for club sports
• Assist in the promotion of alumni fundraising efforts for club sports
• Ensure compliance with league and University parameters for club sports
• Assist in league scheduling for club sports
• Assist in daily office operations for club sports
• Building supervision/management for the Fitness Center
• Maintenance and overview of equipment for the Fitness Center
