About The Position

The Graduate Assistant (GA) position in the Department of Psychology at Cal Poly Humboldt provides non-teaching assistance to faculty members while allowing students to gain practical experience in their field of study. GAs may supervise students in various settings, assist faculty with research, prepare course materials, evaluate student work, and provide tutoring. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at Humboldt and cannot hold concurrent faculty or staff positions. The position is temporary for the academic year 2025/2026, with hours up to 10 per week and a pay rate of approximately $811.00 per month.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the subject matter of the discipline.
• Ability to relate well to others in an academic environment.
• Ability to supervise, assist, and train students.
• Evidence of satisfactory achievement in previous academic work.
• Registration in a CSU graduate degree program.
