The Graduate Assistant for Outdoor Pursuits will be involved in all aspects of the administration of a university outdoor pursuits program, with emphasis on trip programming, challenge course programming, logistics and gear management, and climbing wall management. This is a nine-month appointment beginning July 2025 (with opportunity to start in June) and requires a commitment of 20 hours/week including office hours. The intention is for the chosen individual to hold this position for two years while they are in graduate school. Graduate Assistants will be expected to report for onboarding, training, and semester preparation in early August. The final date is to be determined. A job offer is contingent on acceptance into an Ohio University graduate program. This position includes a 1-year contract with the possibility of a second year dependent on graduate program restrictions and needs of the department. Well-Being & Recreation will provide a stipend, however, a tuition waiver is dependent on approval from the academic department and is not guaranteed.
