The student employee will join the Community Economic Development Unit of the Cooperative Extension Program at Prairie View A&M University. In this role, the student employee will be a graduate assistant, supporting the Community Economic Development Unit initiatives, programming, and collaborating with program specialists and staff members. The position's primary responsibility will be assisting the housing specialist in organizing and conducting training and research focusing on homeownership education, financial literacy, and community economic development. In addition, the graduate assistant will be responsible for developing and presenting homeownership education and housing stability for limited-resource communities across Texas. The graduate assistant will also assist with researching housing market trends, best practices in homeownership education, and relevant policies that affect homeowners and first-time homeowners.
