The Graduate Assistant (GA) position at the Center for Health Education and Promotion involves assisting the peer education team in developing, implementing, and assessing student-focused programming. The GA will serve as the primary point of contact for peer education initiatives that focus on alcohol and other drugs, mental health, or healthy relationships. Additionally, the Graduate Assistant will assist the Director and Secretary in data collection through assessments and surveys.

  • Coordinate peer education initiatives, serving as primary contact.
  • Attend and participate in peer education awareness events and activities.
  • Assist with peer educator recruitment, hiring, conflict resolution, and problem solving.
  • Develop intentional engagement opportunities with student organizations and departments across campus.
  • Develop surveys and assessments, perform data collection and analysis.
  • Must be enrolled in a Millersville University graduate program; non-degree students and those only seeking post-baccalaureate certification are not eligible.
  • Full-time Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of 6 credits in Fall semester and in Spring semester.
  • Must be available for on-campus work during regular university office hours.
  • Prior experience in a supervisor or leadership role.
  • Experience with event planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge of survey and assessment techniques and best practices.
  • Pay Rate: $6000 (FT) / $3000 (PT) per year.
  • Graduate assistants earn tuition waiver credits of 18 credits (FT) / 9 credits (PT) per year.
