Requirements

  • Must be accepted/enrolled into a UAF graduate program through the Graduate School.
  • Previous experience working in Orientation, Welcome Week, or event planning.

  • Previous experience giving campus tours.
  • Experience in academic advising or student affairs.
  • Experience creating content and managing major social media accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training Orientation Leaders and Team Leads.
  • Aid in planning orientation and program innovation.
  • Create charts, graphs, and training schedules for the program.
  • Manage orientation social media content.
  • Collaborate with professional staff to develop student leadership activities.
  • Supervise Team Leads and Orientation Leaders during training and the program.
  • Facilitate evening activities of the orientation program.
  • Analyze data and provide end-of-year reports.
  • Coordinate campus visits from area high schools during the school year.
