About The Position

This position is a Graduate Assistant role at Fairfield University, primarily focused on assisting in the management and oversight of athletic laundry operations and care. The assistant will also be involved in supervising, training, and scheduling work study students, serving as a game-day operations assistant and liaison, and managing the organization and upkeep of athletic equipment outdoors. The role requires working nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by practice and game schedules.

Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree and acceptance into a Fairfield University graduate program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of a variety of sports sponsored by Fairfield.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and oversight of the athletic laundry operations and care.
• Assist in the supervisory, training, and scheduling of work study students.
• Serve as a game-day operations assistance and liaison.
• Assist with receiving, branding, inventorying, and distributing athletic apparel and gear to student-athletes.
• Manage the organization and upkeep of athletic equipment outdoors (i.e., goals, nets, etc.).
• Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as required by supervisor and as departmental/University needs indicate.

Benefits

• $12,000 annual stipend plus 18 credits per academic year.
