About The Position
Sony Music Entertainment is a global recorded music company that offers a unique opportunity for college graduates through its Finance Rotation Program. This program is designed to provide Graduate Analysts with comprehensive exposure to the financial functions of a music company while fostering meaningful professional relationships. Participants will receive on-the-job training and experiential learning aimed at developing future leaders within Sony Music. The program spans two years, with the first year consisting of two 6-month rotations in Royalties and Corporate Accounting. The second year will include two additional 6-month rotations, which may take place in Corporate Finance, Global Digital Business, or at a major label within the NYC office, as well as at the independent distribution company, The Orchard. As a Graduate Analyst, you will support various aspects of Royalty Accounting for designated record labels, create and maintain monthly reports for management, and be responsible for certain elements of the monthly close process. You will conduct detailed analysis and research on financial results and balances, utilize sales and finance reporting and forecasting systems, and perform sales analysis along with the analysis of non-financial KPIs such as market share and chart performance. Additionally, you will collaborate on a wide range of special projects and assignments, providing a well-rounded experience in the finance sector of the music industry.
