About The Position

This is a Graduate Assistant position within the Graduate Admissions Department, serving as a Graduate Admissions Office Assistant. The role involves providing support to the admissions office processes, including meeting and assisting prospective and current students, handling phone calls (both incoming and outgoing to connect students with counselors), performing data entry, scanning application documents, and completing small assigned projects. This student employment opportunity is for the period of Summer 2026 through the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Someone who enjoys working with the public and has a friendly/welcoming personality.
  • Comfortable on the phone, making phone calls, as well as receiving phone calls.

Nice To Haves

  • Attention to detail and experience in an office setting/customer service setting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Meet, greet and assist visiting prospective students as well as current students visiting our office.
  • Assist with answering phone calls and answering questions or transferring to other departments.
  • Making phone calls to interested students to connect them with the right admissions counselor.
  • Data entry, scanning of application documents and other needs supporting the admissions office processes.
  • Small projects as assigned.
