About The Position

The position is for a Middle Grades ELA Teacher at Waycross Middle School. The teacher will be responsible for delivering quality education in English/Language Arts to middle school students, fostering a positive learning environment, and engaging with various stakeholders including students, parents, and the community.

Requirements

• Certified in Middle Grades Science (4-8) English/Language Arts [FLD 853]
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community members
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board

Responsibilities

• Teach English/Language Arts to middle grades students.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Assess and evaluate student progress.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Participate in professional development and training.
