About The Position

The Douglas County School System is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Social Studies to middle school students in grades 6-8 while fostering a love for history, geography, and cultural studies. The candidate must possess or be eligible for certification through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) in Middle Grades Social Studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Social Studies, or a related field.
• Must have or be eligible for Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) certification in Middle Grades Social Studies (grades 4-8).

Responsibilities

• Teach Social Studies to middle school students in grades 6-8.
