The Grader/Sorter position involves performing various duties related to the production of potatoes and grain, primarily focusing on general farm work and crop production. The role requires operating farm equipment, maintaining farm structures, and performing tasks related to the cutting, sorting, and harvesting of seed potatoes.

Maintain, drive, attach and operate farm implements/tractors/equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize and harvest crops.
Remove rocks from the field and weeds from crops or farm grounds.
Paint and repair farm structures and perform general cleanup of farm areas.
Drive, load/unload farm/Ag exempt, non CDL 10-wheel trucks on, or between, farm worksites.
Cut and sort potatoes using techniques as instructed by the employer.
Monitor machinery to ensure proper movement of product and discard diseased or inferior products.
Report malfunctions and perform general cleanup.

Ability to operate farm implements and equipment safely and effectively.
Basic knowledge of crop production and farm maintenance tasks.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.

Experience in agricultural work or farm operations.
Familiarity with potato production and sorting techniques.

Potential for overtime pay during peak seasons.
Opportunity for seasonal employment with potential for rehire.
