About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Grader Operator to operate heavy equipment to perform grading and earthwork activities on construction projects. The successful candidate will specialize in heavy civil projects, including grading, paving, and underground utilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred
• 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, with experience in heavy civil construction preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
• A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Operate grading equipment such as motor graders, dozers, and other heavy machinery.
• Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed
• Communicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that safety procedures are followed at all times
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
• Provide on-the-job training to new operators as needed
• Other duties as assigned
