About The Position

Effective lower elementary teachers foster strong relationships and cultivate an open, welcoming, and enriching learning environment. They design engaging lessons that embed foundational skills and deliver targeted Tier 1 interventions. Additionally, they promote positive social skills, provide diverse literature to inspire reading, and facilitate inquiry-based and Project-Based Learning (PBL) activities. Collaboration with inclusion staff to support student needs and active participation in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs)-analyzing student data, refining instruction, discussing interventions, and assessing progress-are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit
