ARLINGTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS Arlington, MA 02476 JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Grade 5 Teacher The Arlington Public Schools are accepting applications from applicants interested in teaching Grade 5 at the Bishop Elementary School beginning in the 2026-2027 School Year. Candidates for elementary teaching positions must be appropriately licensed for the position. Candidates must also be collaborative professionals who will work with grade level teams and general and special educators throughout the School and District. Must love working with children and be willing to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students in the classroom. In addition, Arlington expects teachers to work diligently and collaboratively to implement the District's approved curriculum for all subjects. Candidates for this position who also have an English as a Second Language license will be strongly preferred. Salary and Benefits are consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association. The Salary Schedule is on our website. Salary placement is based on Education and Experience. Arlington has a well-established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year. The first official work day in the 2026-2027 school year will be August 31, 2026. However, new staff are required to attend several days of orientation and training during the last two weeks of August.
