About The Position

The Classroom Teacher at Clovis Unified School District is responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults. The teacher will seek to meet district standards in designated curricular areas and perform co-curricular and adjunct duties as assigned. Maintaining proper disciplinary control of students and providing a suitable learning environment for academic and social development is essential.

Requirements

• Must possess or be eligible for appropriate California classroom credential.

Responsibilities

• Seeks to reach District standards as established in the designated curricular areas.
• Performs co-curricular and/or adjunct duties as assigned by the Governing Board, Superintendent, and/or other designated persons.
• Maintains proper disciplinary control of pupils directly assigned and secondarily maintains control of all pupils in the district.
• Enforces all rules governing the conduct of pupils as prescribed by the Education Code, Title 5, The Governing Board, and the District and school administrators.
• Provides a suitable learning environment for the academic and social development of all students.
