About The Position

The HR Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle hourly recruiting and hiring support for the Kraft Heinz Mason manufacturing facility. This role serves as the primary onsite recruiting presence, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality hiring to support plant operations. The Recruiter partners closely with HR, Operations, Safety, Training, and external partners to deliver a consistent candidate experience and ensure all pre-employment requirements are completed accurately prior to hire.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of recruiting, hiring, or onboarding experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume environment.
  • Experience coordinating interviews, hiring events, and pre-employment screening processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner across functions.
  • Problem-solving skills and continuous improvement orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience using Workday Recruiting, Kronos, Dayforce, Indeed, or similar applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple shifts in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience conducting onsite hiring events or job fairs.

Responsibilities

  • Hourly Recruiting & Sourcing Recruit for all hourly manufacturing roles across shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, community outreach, and hiring events.
  • Screen applicants, conduct interviews, and coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers.
  • Clearly communicate job expectations, shift requirements, physical demands, and work environment to candidates.
  • Hiring Events & Community Engagement Plan and host onsite hiring events.
  • Attend local job fairs, community events, and employment partnership meetings.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for Kraft Heinz in the local labor market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, workforce agencies, and schools.
  • Pre-Employment Screening & Compliance Initiate and track background checks in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform and document onsite oral drug screenings.
  • Coordinate pre-employment physical screens in partnership with approved third-party occupational health provider.
  • Ensure all pre-employment steps are completed accurately and timely prior to hire.
  • Escalate results appropriately per HR escalation guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all hiring-related documentation.
  • Plant Tours & Candidate Readiness Conduct and coordinate plant tours for temporary candidates and direct-hire candidates
  • Ensure safety rules, PPE requirements, and job expectations are clearly communicated during tours.
  • Reinforce realistic job previews to support informed candidate decision-making and retention
  • New Hire Readiness & Orientation Conduct new hire orientation.
  • Coordinate badge creation, Kronos biometrics, and onboarding readiness.
  • Partner with Training, Safety, QA, and Operations to ensure smooth Day One onboarding.
  • Ensure PPE and required documentation are completed prior to start.
  • Workforce Planning & Operational Partnership Partner with Production, Maintenance, Q/A Sanitation, Receiving, and HR to understand current and upcoming staffing needs.
  • Support hiring plans based on operational demand, turnover, and workforce planning inputs.
  • Adjust recruiting strategies by shift and role to meet plant needs.
  • Support off-shift interviews and hiring events as needed.
  • Data, Reporting & Process Management Track and report recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and offer acceptance.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready recruiting and hiring records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency, candidate flow, and hiring processes.
  • Safety & Plant Awareness Follow all plant safety rules and PPE requirements.
  • Reinforce safety expectations during interviews and orientation.
  • Maintain awareness of job-related physical demands and medical clearance requirements.
  • Other Responsibilities Support HR team with recruiting-related projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with internal hourly movement, referrals, and staffing initiatives as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
