About The Position

The Senior Staff GPU DV Engineer at Qualcomm is responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, verifying, and optimizing the performance and power of GPU cores. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and drive innovation in GPU technology. The engineer will leverage advanced GPU knowledge to develop software, conduct comprehensive testing, and ensure high-quality functionality and performance of GPU products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree and 5+ years, OR a PhD and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of relevant GPU experience (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (preferred).
• 1+ year in a technical leadership role with direct reports (only applies if there are direct reports).

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in a technical leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.
• Build functional model simulations and develop software for various graphics to verify correctness and performance goals.
• Design, program, and run complex graphics tests to ensure high-quality functionality, performance, power, and stability.
• Facilitate collaboration with third-party vendors and across organizations to guide implementation and ensure alignment with goals.
• Develop critical driver and compiler software to support GPU products.
• Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex GPU projects.
