Knife River is looking for a dependable GPS Model Builder to join our team!

Requirements

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Agtek, Trimble Business Center
• Fluent with TOPCON and/or TRIMBLE GPS equipment
• 2+ years of experience grade checking and staking preferred
• Experience with GPS equipment for surveying preferred
• Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record
• Acceptable interpersonal communication skills
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• GPS Machine Control Model Building
• Material takeoffs for estimating
• Basic survey and possible drone operation
• Verification of grade specifications
• Measurements and staking grade with GPS and traditional grade setting equipment
• Reading and understanding construction plans and specifications
• Collecting and utilizing information using GPS equipment
• Maintaining positive customer relations
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving situations
• Monitoring and discussing production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors
• Performing other duties as assigned
