Our Internship Program is designed to prepare you for what comes next in your career. As an intern, you will be paid to dig into challenging projects and do substantive work that can have meaningful impact on our business. As a member of the GPS Hardware team, you will be responsible for researching and evaluating hardware solutions, including tablets, RFID readers, optical scanners, cradles, and mounts, to help identify future technologies that may be integrated at our client sites. This role involves identifying and assessing available hardware options, analyzing compatibility with existing software, and providing recommendations. An intern will collaborate with vendors, conduct benchmarking studies, and contribute to the development of innovative hardware-software integrations. This is an entry-level position where you will be assisting existing hardware technicians, the assistant director, and the director in analysis and procurement. You will work with members of your team in finding the best solution and learn how to select hardware/software with attention to cost and use case. You will be expected to continually grow and expand your knowledge of Edulog's tablet software and hardware options. Depending on your progress, there will also be opportunities to learn about our other suite of products. Training will be provided.

  • Research and compare available tablets, with regards to cost, size, and manufacturer.
  • Review possible new peripherals - like RFID readers, barcode scanners, cradles, and mounts - for school transportation applications.
  • Collaborate with vendors to gather technical documentation, sample products, and pricing information.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to assess the performance and reliability of different hardware options in different environmental conditions.
  • Document findings, create comparison reports, and present recommendations to the R D team.
