About The Position

The Great Plains Manufacturing High School Work-Based Learning Program is designed to introduce high school students to careers in manufacturing through hands-on experience in various departments. Participants will engage in manual labor tasks that provide insight into the manufacturing process and help develop essential skills for future employment.

Requirements

  • Participants must be 17 years of age.
  • Must be enrolled in a local high school and qualify through their participating high school.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform various jobs in the Assembly or Sub-Assembly areas, including assembling pieces and building components.
  • Pick, pack, and ship parts in the Parts Department, organizing products and updating inventory counts.
  • Ensure parts meet GPM standards in the Quality Control department by measuring and testing for defects.
  • Assist in loading, offloading, and prepping parts for painting in the Paint Line.
